POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Director, Business Development will play a crucial role in expanding new client opportunities and winning new logo deals in the San Francisco/Bay Area. This position will develop and execute a comprehensive external sales and marketing plan; creating a pipeline of new customers and close opportunities for the company. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and build pipeline for new customers with focus on high-tech, high-growth companies.
  • Engage and set up meetings with potential customers.
  • Deliver compelling information and demonstration of product offerings to prospective customers.
  • Attend networking events and conference; building relations that will create new business opportunities.
  • Conduct ongoing market analysis; identify challenges and opportunities for growth.
  • Identify business needs and working environments of prospective customers to successfully solution.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned to goals and targets.
  • Participate in executive meetings and set forth plans to achieve sales growth, marketing objectives.
  • Work closely with executive sales team in new business capture efforts including solution/offer development, contract negotiation and closing.
  • Responsible for delivering and exceeding sales quotas/goals.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or other related field.
  • 5+ years sales experience ideally in high-tech or SAAS industry preferred.
  • BPO experience a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to point, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

 

This is a full time position. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
