Job Description


The Leave Specialist is responsible for the administration of IBEX Global’s Leave of Absence, Return to Work/Light Duty Program and ADAAA claims.  The Leave Specialist effectively coordinates all cases/claims to include general administration, comprehensive case management and program compliance with the Family and Medical Leave Act and all related employment laws. Also serves as point of contact for employees and/or supervisor to identify and provide reasonable accommodations, coordinate and maintain documentation on accommodation efforts.  Participates in developing, implementing, monitoring policies, procedures, standards and guidelines for determining and assessing leaves of absence.  With all human resources matters and functions, this position maintains appropriate levels of confidentiality and ensures functions are completed accurately and in a timely manner.


  • Serves as the subject matter expert for the leave program in alignment and under the general direction and guidance of HR leadership and the legal department.
  • Interprets and administers leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADAAA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.).
  • Independently approves and/or denies leave cases based on relevant medical information. Coordinates and organizes all medical information and ensures that HIPAA and Employee Privacy guidelines are closely monitored and effectively executed.
  • Manages all administrative aspects of leave and ADAAA claims to include tracking hours used/taken and working closely with the HR Service Center, and Payroll to ensure that pay for associates is accurate and correct.
  • Works closely with associates to ensure that all relevant completed medical documentation is submitted for timely review. Maintains appropriate contact with all associates on leave and coordinates all aspects of return to work for associates on leave.
  • Produces and manages reporting metrics and analytics for all leave cases. Presents reports as requested.
  • Partners closely with site Human Resources on all leave cases. Meets regularly to review the status of cases/claims and develops legally sound strategies for a mutually beneficial resolution.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business or other related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Professional experience in a call center environment a plus.


  • Ability to support the Mission and Core Values of IBEX Global Solutions and act as a role model for these values to all employees with the Company.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Human Resource subject matter including FMLA, ADAAA, HIPAA, FLSA, USERRA, Worker’s Compensation, etc.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • Ability to systematically gather relevant data and information; recognizes patterns and trends.
  • Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Acute attention to detail, problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in an ever changing environment and able to prioritize daily tasks to meet specified deadlines.
  • Must possess the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and report in on all tasks as assigned.


This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to point, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work a flexible schedule in excess of 40 hours a week as business needs arise.
