Job Description

ibex, a Business Process Outsourcing call center with locations in Portmore and Kingston, is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to be an integral part of the Finance team.  The Finance Manager will provide leadership and guidance to the nearshore finance team as well as build relationships across all levels of the organization. He or she will review and interpret financial and accounting data to drive operational decisions. The Finance Manager will report to the Nearshore Finance Controller.  



  • Coordinate funding with group treasury team.
  • Coordinate annual audit within required timeline.
  • Prepare monthly invoices.
  • File corporate tax returns, and CGT (VAT) returns.
  • Review bank reconciliations.
  • Report on financial performance and preparation for regular leadership reviews.
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support.
  • Partner with operations in order to build strategies, track key performance indicators.
  • Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools and Excel dashboards.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of business finance or other relevant experience.
  • Qualified Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica, (ICAJ) or equivalent international qualification i.e. CPA (USA and Canada), ACCA (UK).
  • Business Intelligence or Investment Banking background/experience, preferred.



  • Up to date knowledge of accounting regulations including IFRS’s and Jamaican GAAP
  • Must have excellent understanding of Financial Analysis and Reporting, and accounting standards and treatment.
  • Solid report analysis and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to details.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude and expertise including advanced Excel.
  • Familiarity with data query/data management tools extremely helpful 
  • Proven strategic planning experience at the management level.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.



This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to point, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
