Summary

Sales Advisors are responsible for creating an outstanding experience at every interaction for both new and existing business customers.  The advisor uses superior product knowledge and a passion for customer satisfaction to provide solutions for a wide range of business customer needs in a fast paced and energetic environment.

General Duties

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Selling and/or saving Verizon products and services. Negotiating service order requests from customers for installation, change or removal of telephone, data, and related services. 
  • Ability to deal with customers patiently, tactfully and efficiently by presenting services to the customer for save and sales opportunities, and completing save/service order activity in an accurate and timely manner. 
  • Accurately computing and quoting customer monthly charges, non-recurring charges, adjustments and balances. Must be able to provide flexible options to the customer based on product and service needs. 
  • Full range of billing and collections duties.  Discuss billing inquiries. Utilizes billing system to assist customers in a wide range of billing transactions.
  • Full range of repair resolution duties.  Interfacing with customers regarding (and performing work associated with) pending orders, repair requirements and repair resolution. 

Job Requirements

Required Experience And Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, or the equivalent.
  • Pass required background checks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong decision-making and leadership abilities
  • Strong organizational and problem solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to analyze trends and make recommendations
  • Must complete all training requirements and pass certification requirements for this position
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old
  • Demonstrate strong aptitude and knowledge of personal computer hardware/software

Basic Qualifications

  • One year previous business sales experience preferred
  • 1-2 years telecom/solutions selling experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of system design
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant technologies; such as fiber services,  IP, Virtual Communications, and wireless mobile products including modems, smart-phones and tablets
  • Possesses fundamental understanding of internet connectivity (e.g., TCP/IP networking terminology, web (HTTP) and email (POP/SMTP) protocols)
